Home Dialysis Operations Specialist
Location: Remote role based in Kansas
The Home Dialysis Operations Specialist is responsible for providing redeployment services for NxStage Home Hemodialysis (HHD) equipment, which may include dialysis machine and water system disinfections and testing, vendor coordination, scheduling with clinic teammates and patients, troubleshooting logistics issues, and effectively communicating with supervisor. This position operates under the supervision of a national supervisor and with the assistance of a HHD Redeployment Specialist Advanced Leader.
- Performs redeployment procedures (decontamination and testing) on dialysis delivery systems to prepare them for storage and redeployment
- Communicates with clinic teams, patients, machine vendor, and transportation services regarding normal equipment order operations
- Organizes orders in tracking files and inventory systems. Communicates reporting to supervisor
- Troubleshoots order issues by communicating with patient/clinic and asking questions to machine vendor and transport services
- Demonstrates a commitment to learning and seeks opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in redeployment operations
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
0–2 years of professional experience required
- Experience in logistics, operations coordination, healthcare, equipment maintenance, or manufacturing environments preferred
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders and tasks simultaneously
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone communication
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to work within tracking systems, inventory platforms, and reporting tools
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety protocols with a high level of accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and escalate issues appropriately
- Ability to work independently under supervision in a structured, process-driven environment
- Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating logistics, transportation, or vendor communication
- Experience with medical equipment handling, maintenance, reprocessing, or testing
- Healthcare industry experience
- Operational or process improvement experience
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to handle and maneuver dialysis equipment and related components
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move equipment as needed (reasonable accommodations available)
- Travel less than 5%
- Occasional evening or weekend work (less than 10%)
