Patient Care Technician - Outpatient Dialysis Clinic

Schedule Overview: This is a full-time need working 30-40 hrs/week. Opening shifts begin as early as 4:15am and closing shifts end as late as 9pm. Shifts range from 4-12 hours long and are scheduled in advance. Saturdays are typically rotated, and the clinic is closed on Sundays.

Incoming PCT needs to be able to work a mix of opening and closing shifts long-term. Incoming PCT will work alongside 1-2 other PCTs as well as a RN.

DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care

• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment

• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment

• Record vital signs and patient data

• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health

• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Requirements

• Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent. This is confirmed during the onboarding process and is required for employment.

• Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment

• Physically able to work long shifts on your feet

• Willing to float between local clinics if needed

• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
