Patient Care Technician

DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

Some details about this position:

• Shift Expectations: Full time, working 3 - 4 shifts per week, alternating Saturday, off Sundays
• Operational Hours: Monday-Saturday 4:00AM-9:30PM, closed Sundays *opening and closing availability is required*
• Shifts are usually 10 - 12hrs long, some overtime
• No healthcare or dialysis experience is required.
• First 9 - 12weeks of employment are spent in hemodialysis training
• Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic
• Potential to float to various clinics during and after your training

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
• Record vital signs and patient data
• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Requirements

• Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
• Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
• Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
• Willing to float between local clinics if needed
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
