DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities

·         Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care

·         Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment

·         Set up and maintain dialysis equipment

·         Record vital signs and patient data

·         Educate patients on treatment and kidney health

·         Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Requirements:

·         Graduate of an accredited High school or GED (will be verified during post offer of employment)

·         Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment

·         Physically able to work long shifts on your feet

·         Willing to float between local clinics if needed

·         Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Details about the paid training and work schedule:

  • No healthcare experience is required. We will train you!

  • Our clinics operate Monday through Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and are open on holidays unless the holiday falls on a Sunday. PCTs expected shifts:  Three to four (10-12 hour) shifts per week shifts with a minimum of every other Saturday.

  • Start time is around 5:00 am and may vary per clinic. You must have a flexible schedule to be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. The training may take place at your facility or another location.

  • The first two days of training will be at Asheville Kidney Center.

  • Willing to float between local clinics if needed

Paid training: 

DaVita offers all new dialysis teammates a robust, paid training program to help you learn the right dialysis skills. The training is a mix of classroom and hands on training. This consists of 10 weeks of training (5 days/week /32-36 hours/week). 

  • Reimbursement for your Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license
