Duties and Responsibilities
Plans and prioritizes day-to-day work
Manages group ticket queue
Tracks project tasks and ensures timely completion
Tracks and completes administrative activities (time sheets, project updates, etc.)
Utilizes effective hands-on management techniques to reinforce relevant business objectives and performance standards, ensuring effective team performance
Supports key performance measures by setting and communicating goals and providing constructive feedback, to create a high-performance culture
Effectively communicates management decisions to achieve understanding and acceptance of changes and direction, demonstrates good judgment in selecting the proper mode of communication (verbal and/or written) and follows through to ensure understanding
Demonstrates and conveys a favorable image of the organization by exhibiting professionalism and diplomacy while carrying out Village objectives
Works side-by-side with other IT teams to help meet key objectives of the Village and rollout of new initiatives, programs, systems, automation enhancements, etc.
Works closely with People Services to ensure understanding and proper application of policies and procedures
Participates in recruiting, selecting and orientating new employees to the team
Completes ad-hoc projects and other related duties as required
Supervisors will work full time and will be required to participate in of-hours support activities
Job Qualifications
Associates degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS or Engineering/Technology or related field or equivalent experience/training
Basic understanding of all infrastructure components and their role in an enterprise architecture
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Knowledgeable about hardware and operating system monitoring
6 - 8 years IT Infrastructure experience preferred with a strong working knowledge of IT system fundamentals
Outstanding leadership capabilities, with ability to lead, train, develop, and motivate a team
Management experience preferred
Demonstrated analytical skills, efficiently diagnose an issue and implement or propose a solution
Ability to implement break-fix solutions
Demonstrated ability to positively lead a team, in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
